The parrot is my favourite bird because it is colourful, active, and surprisingly intelligent. I have always enjoyed watching parrots sitting on tree branches, moving their heads, and making cheerful sounds. Their bright green feathers and long tails make them easy to notice, especially when they fly across the clear sky.

One thing I find fascinating about parrots is their strong, curved beak. They use it to eat seeds, fruits, grains, nuts, and other natural foods. Parrots also have strong feet that help them hold branches and food while eating. Their movements are quick and full of energy, so watching them never feels boring.

Parrots are also famous for their ability to imitate sounds. Some parrots can learn human words and repeat sounds they hear regularly. This ability makes them seem very clever, although their natural communication includes many different calls and behaviours. They are social birds and often stay with other parrots.

I especially enjoy seeing parrots in the morning when they gather on trees and call to one another. Their sounds bring life to quiet surroundings. At the same time, I believe wild parrots should be allowed to live freely in their natural habitats. Protecting trees and forests gives them food, shelter, and places to raise their young.

My Favourite Bird Parrot Essay 300 Words

Among all the birds I see around me, the parrot is the one I find most interesting. Its bright green feathers, curved beak, and long tail make it easy to recognize.

Whenever I see a parrot sitting quietly on a tree or flying across the sky, I stop for a moment to watch it. There is something cheerful about this little bird.

Parrots are found in many parts of the world, and different species have different colours and features. The common Indian parakeet is usually green with a long tail and a strong, hooked beak. Its beak helps it break open seeds, fruits, and other foods.

Parrots generally eat fruits, seeds, nuts, grains, and flowers. I like learning about how their bodies and beaks are naturally suited to their food.

What makes parrots special to me is their intelligence. They can learn sounds and, in some situations, imitate human speech. Their ability to remember and copy sounds is fascinating. However, parrots are not simply “talking birds.” They are social animals that communicate with one another through different calls and behaviours.

I have often watched parrots gathering on trees in the morning. They move quickly, call to each other, and sometimes fly away together.

Their lively behaviour makes them enjoyable to observe. I also like the way they use their feet and beaks while eating or climbing.

Parrots are an important part of nature because birds help spread seeds and support healthy ecosystems. Sadly, wild birds can face problems when forests disappear, trees are cut down, or animals are captured illegally.

This is why I believe parrots should be protected in their natural surroundings rather than kept simply for entertainment.

I love parrots not only because they are colourful and beautiful but also because they are intelligent, active, and closely connected with nature. Whenever I hear a parrot calling from a nearby tree, it instantly catches my attention. For me, the parrot will always be a fascinating and favourite bird.
