A Visit To A Circus Essay 400 Words
It was Diwali vacation. Daddy had promised to show us the “Great Royal Circus”. Sunday evening, my sister and myself reached at the ground, where the circus arena was built.
There was a big colourful tent. A band was being played. All children were excited to get inside. We took our seats. First came out the acrobats. They had shining yellow and green clothes. They were dancing and saluting us along with the tune of the band. A big net was put. They started the swings which were hung from the roof of the tent.
They jumped from one swing to the other. Suddenly came, laughing and shouting, the clowns in their multi-coloured clothes and funny caps and coloured noses. Children clapped and shouted too. Bears came cycling. After that two elephants came with garlands in their trunk. The ring-master gave them orders and they showed us all tricks and movements that they were taught.
Then came the dogs who were beautifully dressed. They did all the exercises. I was thrilled. Suddenly we heard the tigers roaring and the lions rushing. They were taken out of the cages. They listened to the orders of their trainers. It was breath-taking to watch them do all that very politely.
The women on the swing were doing their exercises and down below the horses danced, acrobats walked on the ropes. They did tricks on their bicycles. A man was catching five balls at a time. The monkeys and cats played cricket. A trainer was sitting on the lion’s back. One trainer put his head in the mouth of a tiger. It was very fearful. We were silently watching.
There was one very adventurous game. A motor-cyclist was riding his vehicle in the globe. It was an iron-globe, very big and dangerous looking. The motor cycle was moving up and down and round inside the circular globe. We wondered how he never fell down. This is known as the dome of death when there was a serious item going on, the clowns cut jokes and danced and jumped, to release the tension of the spectators and the animals too.
We laughed to see their tricks. In the iron-nets and cages the tigers were kept. They were brought out and made to jump through the burning rings. Finally the circus-show was over. We never knew how time had passed. We praised the circus show and were thoroughly satisfied and happy.
Circus Essay In English 500 Words
Last Sunday, my parents planned a special outing for our family. A circus had arrived in our city, and they decided to take me there. I was extremely excited because I had always wanted to watch a live circus show. We reached the venue in the evening and saw a huge tent decorated with colourful flags, bright lights, and attractive posters. A large crowd had gathered outside, and the sound of cheerful music filled the air.
After buying our tickets, we entered the tent and found our seats. The stage looked beautiful, with colourful curtains and shining lights. Soon, the music became louder, and the show began. Everyone clapped excitedly as the performers entered the arena.
The first performance was by a group of acrobats. They jumped, rolled, and balanced their bodies in amazing ways. Some performers swung high above the ground, while others performed difficult stunts with great confidence. I was surprised by their strength and flexibility. One performer even balanced carefully on a narrow rope, making the audience hold its breath.
Next came the clowns, who were the funniest part of the show. They wore oversized shoes, colourful clothes, and funny hats. They slipped, pretended to fall, and made silly faces. Their amusing tricks made everyone laugh, especially the children sitting near us. Even my parents could not stop smiling.
Another exciting performance featured trained animals. I watched as the animals followed their trainers’ instructions. However, I also wondered whether they were comfortable performing under bright lights and loud music. This made me realise that animals should always be treated kindly and kept in safe, healthy conditions.
After that, several gymnasts performed amazing balancing acts. One woman spun hoops around her body, while another performer rode a bicycle with remarkable skill. The background music, colourful costumes, and dramatic lighting made the entire show feel magical. Every act was different, so there was never a dull moment.
During the interval, my father bought popcorn and cold drinks for us. We chatted about our favourite performances and guessed what might happen next. Soon, the second half began with a thrilling act involving a performer riding a motorcycle inside a large metal globe. The motorcycle moved faster and faster, and the audience cheered loudly. I watched nervously until the performer completed the act safely.
At the end, all the performers came together and bowed to the audience. We applauded them warmly for their hard work, courage, and talent. I realised that entertaining a large crowd required months of practice, patience, teamwork, and dedication.
We returned home feeling happy and excited. I kept remembering the funny clowns, the skilled acrobats, and the daring motorcycle rider. My visit to the circus was a wonderful experience that I will always cherish. It taught me to appreciate the effort behind every performance and reminded me that a little excitement can make an ordinary day truly special.
