An Accident That I Have Seen 200 Words

Last month, I witnessed a road accident while returning home from school. It was a busy afternoon, and the road was crowded with cars, buses, motorcycles, and pedestrians. Everyone seemed to be in a hurry.

Suddenly, a motorcyclist tried to overtake a car from the wrong side. At the same moment, a car turned towards a nearby street. The motorcycle hit the car, and the rider fell onto the road. The sound of the collision shocked everyone nearby. For a moment, people stood still, unsure what to do.

Soon, a few people rushed forward to help the injured man. One person called an ambulance, while another asked the traffic to slow down. The motorcyclist was conscious but appeared to be in pain. Within a short time, the ambulance arrived and took him to the hospital.

I felt frightened after seeing the accident. It made me understand how quickly a small mistake can lead to serious consequences. Road accidents can often be prevented if people follow traffic rules, avoid speeding, and stay alert while driving.

Since that day, I have become more careful whenever I cross a road. I always look both ways and use the proper crossing. The incident taught me that road safety is everyone’s responsibility, and even a few seconds of patience can save a life.

An Accident That I Have Seen 300 Words

Today while going to school, I had a horrible experience. I always go to school on foot. I was on the left side foot path of the road. Suddenly, I heard a cracking noise of the brakes and the loud noise of a dash. Before my eyes was a school-bus which was topsy-turvy. Two rickshaws were broken and the scooters skidded. The bus was to start. The rickshaw dashed against the bus. In between were crashed two scooters. The traffic in the morning, was very heavy.

All the vehicles on the road stopped. There were pedestrians caught in the dash. People shouted. The big crowd was rustling. The children in the bus were crying. Some were wounded. The pieces of the glass-windows were shown all over. Some children were bleeding heavily. They were trying to come out and cried for help. Someone gave a ring to the fire-brigade and police-station. The social workers and corporators in that area rushed to the spot.

Within fifteen minutes there came the ambulances and a team of doctors. Young persons in the crowd helped the policemen and doctors to take out the children. The petrol-tank of the bus waswas on fire. The fire-brigade workers picked up the bus and started taking out the children. Immediately parents came running to the scene. The scooter-owners were also wounded seriously. The rickshaw driver died on the spot. There were some persons who were on the point of death.

There was blood all over, on the road. I was stunned and scared. I was hardly five feet away from the whole tragedy. It was a shock to all the school-children who were going to school. At such a tragic situation there are very few who really help. Some are useless onlookers. Some are afraid of the police-case and avoid and run away.

I asked my friends to come and help those children who were not hurt but were shocked. We picked up their school-bags and helped them to reach home. Within half an hour, people went away. The wounded and dead bodies were taken to a civil hospital. Parents and teachers took away other children.

It was a terrible experience. But you have to do your routine things. Life goes on. In this world of speed, no one has time to stand and help. We all are selfish.

An Accident That I Have Seen 500 Words

One evening, I was returning home with my father after visiting a nearby market. The roads were busy, and vehicles were moving in every direction. Some people were crossing the road, while others were waiting for buses. Everyone seemed to be in a hurry to reach home before dark.

As we approached a traffic signal, I noticed a young man riding a motorcycle at high speed. He was trying to overtake other vehicles instead of waiting patiently. Suddenly, a car in front of him slowed down to turn into a side lane. The motorcyclist could not control his bike and crashed into the car. He fell onto the road, and his motorcycle slid a short distance away.

The sound of the accident startled everyone. For a few seconds, people stood silently, shocked by what had happened. Then several people rushed to help the injured rider. I felt frightened when I saw him lying on the road, holding his leg in pain. His helmet had protected his head, but he seemed badly shaken.

My father immediately went towards the accident spot to see whether the man needed help. A shopkeeper brought a chair and some water, while another person called an ambulance. A few people helped keep the surrounding area clear so that other vehicles could pass without causing another accident. Everyone asked the rider to remain still and wait for medical assistance.

Within a short time, the ambulance arrived. The medical staff checked the injured man and carefully took him to the hospital. Fortunately, he was conscious and able to speak. The police also arrived to manage the traffic and gather information about the accident. Soon, the crowd began to move away, and the road slowly returned to normal.

Although the accident lasted only a few moments, its impact stayed with me for a long time. I kept thinking about how easily the young man could have lost his life because of one careless decision. Reaching a destination a few minutes earlier is never worth risking one’s safety.

That evening, my father explained that many road accidents happen because people ignore traffic signals, drive too fast, overtake carelessly, or use mobile phones while driving. He also reminded me that wearing a helmet and a seat belt can reduce the risk of serious injuries. I understood that road safety depends not only on drivers but also on pedestrians who must cross roads carefully.

Since witnessing that accident, I have become more alert whenever I travel. I always look both ways before crossing the road and use pedestrian crossings whenever possible. I also remind my friends to follow traffic rules and avoid dangerous behaviour on the road.

The accident was a frightening experience, but it taught me a valuable lesson. Life is precious, and a moment of carelessness can change it forever. We should drive responsibly, respect other road users, and never take unnecessary risks. A little patience and caution can help save many lives.
