The name of my school is Ahilyadevi High School, Pune. I am in this school since my kindergarten class. Ours is a very old and famous school in Pune and in Maharashtra too. It was established by Shri. Chiplunkar, Agarkar, Tilak, Namjoshi and Apte in the year 1880.
It is a Marathi medium school. Our school works in two shifts. In the morning from 7.00 a.m. to 12.00 a.m. and in the afternoon from 12.30 to 5.30 p.m. In each shift there are fourteen classes from Junior K.G. to XIIth standard.
The building of our school is three-storeyed. It is L shaped. There are thirty-six divisions. Each class has three divisions — A, B and C. The office, staff-room, head-master’s office/cabin, the toilets and drinking water facilities are in the adjacent building. We have science laboratory, drawing-room, handicraft and music rooms, along with a conference hall.
